Casino Club
04/25/07 09:46 PM
Since we have sort of a gambling theme going on here, I thought I'd post the latest spot we did for Casino Club - a local card room in Redding. This spot was shot a couple months ago before the greens were really...green. A little bit of color correction fixed that right up. Many thanks to Lyn who helped wrangle the golf balls on the roof. The best part about this shoot is that I got to say things like, "OK, camera's rolling... do you have any balls?"

What happens in Vegas...is posted on our blog
04/21/07 05:12 PM
This is what happens in Vegas at 1:30am when you have 2 camera-men and and a flight to catch at 7:30am. Probably the weirdest (and most drunk) people are out at this time in Las Vegas, even on a Wednesday night.
The highlight of our geek trip to NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) was seeing the footage that the RED camera can spit out...especially when Peter Jackson is behind it!
If you haven't heard yet, we are 183rd in line for receiving our 4K RED movie camera (that means we might get ours before Peter Jackson gets his!). I know, this is all tech-talk, but trust me, Jesse has never been more excited about ANYTHING in his life (except maybe our wedding...maybe?). And being with Trevor doesn't help any. If you want to know more about the new baby in the family (that's the RED) then I'm sure Jesse would be happy to spend hours telling you about it. It's actually kind of cute, I imagine it's much like a new proud father would be. It does consume most of our conversations these days, "What will we do with it when it arrives...make a movie?" Stay tuned and find out.

Swing into Spring!
04/14/07 10:45 PM
This is what Lyn has been spending much of her evenings doing...no, not dancing, although she would like to think she can dance, helping with backstage managing. So if you live in Redding go buy your tickets now to the spring Dance Project show, Swing!
Hidden Falls
04/10/07 10:17 AM
A pic from our recent hike to the elusive "Whiskeytown Falls." Here's the rest of the story: Originally discovered by park staff back in the 1960's, they kept the location of the falls secret because the park was in the process of purchasing the land. Amazingly, the landowners had no idea the waterfall was there. Eventually, all the park staff left and the details of the falls left with them. For the next 40 years the existence of the falls was unknown to the park staff. Although some locals had heard the rumor of a hidden waterfall, no one was ever able to find it. It was rediscovered in 2004 and has been getting a lot of press lately. So Lyn and I set out on an expedition to re-rediscover it, again, for the first time. This is just the base of the falls. The official height is 220 ft. Come visit us - it's much more impressive in person. Click the pic for more.

New `Do
04/05/07 11:41 PM
Here's a shot showcasing Lyn's mawwvelous new haircut. We had a "Short-Hairstyle" magazine laying around the house for the last three weeks. Panic set in last night as we lay in bed and Lyn realized she hadn't decided which cut she wanted. This photo is in black & white but I assure you her hair is very red.
That's a Wrap
